Rain or Shine and Washam 5K update

This morning's run was fun. It was around 45 and drizzling. Of course it was more fun when I was facing away from the rain, but still fun. Plus many trees have turned the beautiful shades of yellows and reds so it was easy on the eyes. I ran South Creek Trail alone so I was sure to take my pepper spray and was always on the lookout. As I ran I reminded myself of my self defense moves. Man, I was ready to throw down. Keeping the bad guys off the trails. I pity the fool who tried to attack me this morning.
I think I forgot to blog two things about the Washam 5K. One was that April either had her 2nd best time or PR'd on the 5K - yay! The other is that one of the speed walkers told me that the Washam 5K inspired them to do another one. She is getting the family together to do the Turkey Trot. That makes me so happy! That is why we started the 5K in the first place. Whether you walk or run, its about being active. Thanks for sharing Noelle!
We will be cheering on many friends at the Bass Pro Shop 1/2 and Full marathon this week. We plan to make signs for you in our yard which is about 1 mile from the finish. So far Garrett, Julie, Anita, Rachel, Debb (first full marathon!), Dustin and I will be running. Good luck everyone and let me know if you are running and I didn't mention your name!
